Season 5 finally arrived in Australia, with the first two eps back to back.
Having recovered from the Squee, I would just like to say:
Thank you, Kripke and Co., for giving me exactly, and I mean EXACTLY what I wanted. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Did I or did I not say that what I really wanted to see was Castiel alive and teaming up with the Winchesters?
Yes I did.
And did I or did I not say that for all I care Sam could just go elsewhere?
Yes I did.

As of 5.02 Sam and Dean have parted ways, and the trailer for 5.03 pretty much confirms that Cas is Dean's new hunting partner.

Yay for super plot-guessing powers. ^_^

Finished first year of university.
Among other movies, watched Withnail and I, and loved it.
Also went and saw 2012, which hads tons of awesome carnage. :D

And this was horrible:

One day I was in looking at dresses for my Christmas staff party. I found one, tried it on and fell in love with it. But I needed to wait till my payday in order to get it. So I tried it on and took note of the size for when I come back to pick it up.

So a few days later, my pay had come in and a friend of mine, (who was with me previous), came with me to get my dress. I went to the spot where they had them displayed only to find that it had been moved, where to though was beyond me.

A sales associate approached me and asked if I needed help. I explained to her the dress and she brought me over to it. She asked me what size I would be needing it in and I told her the 2.

She then laughed and said, "Honey your not a 2. Trust me. Not even close".

....

Okay...so to humour her I said for fun I would take the 2 and the 4 and try them on. She proceded to snort and say that a 4 was pushing it as well. I told her there was no way I was an 8 and she went on about denile.
My friend jumped in and told this rude girl that I was in days earlier trying on the 2 that fit me perfectly and to give me the dress or we were walking out.
So with a loud sigh she hands me the dress in the 2 and I go back to try it on. As I walk out of the fitting room she is there to see.

Sure enough the 2 was the size I needed. So i looked her way and shot her a look. She sighed really loud and said "You can only suck in for so long".

That was it. I took the dress off and said fuck it and left. The girl could have had commisison off of a $120 dress.

Now I am not one of those people who do there best to stick themselves into the smallest size. If it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit, get on with life!

I was told I should have complained but really everyone who works there is rude anyways and it would have been a waste of air...and phone minutes.

I found another dress in a 2 that a sales associate was more then happy to sell me. And might I mention actually told me if I wanted to a 0 could also suffice.

Was reading a discussion board, and thought this was hilarious:

Most of the "bad" service I get when I go shopping is the high-pressure sales tactics that the employees are actually forced to do, so I can't really hold it against them. (I'll write an angry letter to management or corporate once in a while if it's really bad, but I won't chew out an employee for doing what their greedy bosses tell them.)

Basically, I hate walking into a store and feeling like I'm about to do epic battle with the salesperson:

Hero: "I'm on a quest for an MP3 player for my sister's birthday."

Orc: "Then what you want is this Ultimate Premium Mythryl iPod with over 9,000 gigabytes of memory! And this week it's only eleventy-billion gold pieces!"

Hero: "No, actually, this 4 GB one in your ad here for 100 gp will do just fine."

Orc: [Scoffs] "Fine then. But you'll want to add on our ultra enchanted extended warranty! Sure it costs almost as much as the MP3 player itself, but you'll have the piece of mind knowing that if a dragon eats it, you can contact our customer service wizards, and if you answer the sphinx's riddle correctly, they might send you a gift card for the cost of your purchase!"

Hero: "No thanks, that's alright, I'll just take the MP3 player."

Orc: [Sweating] "But... but... Piece of mind!... Dragons!... If you fail to purchase our extended warranty, you'll be doomed! DOOMED I tell you!"

Hero: [Leaves and just orders the MP3 player from Amazon]

And completely unlike what I was expecting - what I thought the whole movie was about all happened in the first ten minutes; and then it turned out there was, you know, a plot. An awesome plot.

Have finished Jak II. Verdict: awesome - I love things with a decent story.
Am now doing random missions in it in order to get more stuff and unlock things.
BUT made the mistake of going back and watching all the cutscenes ("God I miss pants" :P) which was cool and all, but I am now burning with fangirlish love for Erol, a creepy and clearly insane red-headed asshole villain. How is it that animated characters can be attractive? I don't know, but there you have it.

I went back and read all my entries tagged 'work', which was amusing. It also made me realise that I haven't posted anything about work since October 2008. :O It's been good for a while though, Lisa has been nice to me, but there are always stupid people.

Have been in a relationship for nearly 10 months now, and I think we're only just coming out of the 'puppy love' stage, if we even are at all. We are fairly sickeningly cute. :P
Puppy love is good though, because it made me realise I actually can feel love. This is v. good.

Having freezing cold hands is not good. Brr.

second day of uni was ok, but Sarah is very... flighty. Is hard to be friends with her when she is always off being friends with other people. Selfish of me y/y?
Was quite surprised that my Creative Writing lecturer was male, as his name is Kari. However this is apparently a man's name somewhere, probably some part of Europe.

On another note, I <3 that Tim Roth and Harvey Keitel are both on TV right now (Lie to Me and American Life on Mars). :D

It's been days since I was on lj last, and as a result my unread frineds list was two pages long. :S

Going to University this year :D

I'm doing a Bachelor of Creative Industries, which should be fun - it's a very flexible course, so I'm doing Creative Writing with some Music and a little bit of Literature. Woot. :P

BUT I've been looking at the subjects and stuff for the Bachelor of Arts at UQ, and I think I wanna do that too - maybe after I get my BCI. Maybe I should take a year off after I get it and then do the BA. IDK.
It's got stuff like Classical Languages (Ancient Greek and Latin) and Linguistics and English Literature and Ancient History and OMG so much stuff. O_o
(Though I think I'm gonna leave Ancient History as something to learn about on my own - HATE ALL THE STUFF ABOUT 'SOURCES'!)

So yeah OMG TWO UNI COURSES!!!

Reasons why yesterday was good:

- Walked past work with the Bat-tatt in full view. Not sure if anyone saw it but I can hope. :P

- Got a taxi from Chermside to Boston's house, and the driver was awesome. He was this young guy, and he asked us what radio station we wanted, and when we said 'whatever you feel like' he said "Are you sure about that?" and proceeded to turn to a heavy metal station (which was fine). Then Boston asked him what his wierdest fare was, and he said "There's two - the first one was a guy who started taking his clothes off in the front seat - he was some gay guy, a friend of mine knows him and said I'd like it - and the other one was a trannie who tried to feel me up".
Me: OMG That's priceless.
Cabbie: For you maybe.

- Boston's new couches are very nice and comfy, and also his two cats are pretty. (Although I make fun of the funny-looking dog :P)

- When he went to make pancakes, it was with this statement: "No one can mess up pancakes"
Me: "Bollocks, my brother made mutant pancakes once"
I think I jinxed it, cos he then left them alone too long and the bottoms stuck to the pan so when he went to flip them they just came apart. They were mutants. And it was funny. :D

- Watched a vid on the internet of a guy playing "While my guitar gently weeps" on a ukulele. It was like Woah!

EFTPOS machines at work are extremely evil.
They are shitty and don't work half the time.
Sometimes they spontaneously turn themselves off.

Yesterday was especially evil:

One person -
Machine: First try - declined
Second try - turns off
Third try - declined
Different machine: ok

Second person -
Machine: First try - declined
Me: Stupid machines.
Machine: Second try - ok

Third person -
Machine: First try - declined
Me: *headdesk*
Machine: Second try - ok

So yes - much hate for them.

Could have sworn there was something I wanted to say first, but I forgot it. Sometimes I think I must have premature Alzheimer's.
Anyway, woke up at ten past eight this morning going 'what? why am I awake?' to discover my brother slept in and hadn't yet left for school. Turns out he got a text message at 3:30 in the morning, which is why he was tired, poor thing. Was funny though, cos he was so out of it he kept forgetting things. :P

Looked up Adam Baldwin (AKA Jayne in Firefly) just to see what else he's been in, and was surprised multiple times.
1. He's like 46. Thought he was at least a little bit younger than that.
2. Has done the voices of Superman and Green Lantern. Woo DC. :D
3. Was in the X-Files (briefly), Jackie Chan Adventures (voice), and a bunch of other good shows.
4. Played Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde in a TV movie. OMG that is so extremely cool. XD
5. Played Mike in a TV-movie-version of The Poseidon Adventure, of which I've seen both the original and new movies (just not the TV one, evidently). Major fangirling here: "OMG he played the Ernest Borgnine character (original) AKA The Guy Who Was Hot And Blonde in the new one?!". Yes, I like Mike, even if he is an ass.
6. Was in The Patriot - omg wigs and frilly shirts. :P

But my main one was "OMG Independence Day?!?!" because I love that movie, and have seen it multiple times, and yet I had no idea who he was. So I looked up the character and went "Oh yeah, THAT guy". Must watch that movie again.

Also? Must get Jayne icon. :P [/fangirling]

Had to get up at 6 for work. Yuck.
But I was out at outpost (which is now a bunch of Christmas stuff) so no Lisa (yay).
Was not boring for once as I had to open up boxes and price the little boxes of cards inside and put them up - until there was no more room in which case it was price them and put them back in the box.
Very productive. Woo.
For some reason I like doing that kind of thing, just pickinging stuff up and putting a sticker on it, put it dwon, repeat - also it meant I got to use a Stanley Knife which is always fun. :P
AND the sticker gun which is cool too.
Despite the fact that I'm now seeing a nice boy I still looked out for Dane when I went past the Coffee Club, and he was there and I was like "Aaaww so prettyyy".

The Downside of Today:
- When I'm out in random parts of the outpost cleaning or whatever people try to hand me the stuff they want to buy. It's like "What am I going to do with that, seriously? Do I look like a walking till to you?". Stupid people.

On the upside, going out with Boston tonight and I finally get to wear my awesome boots. :D
